Tiger Game.Com [1997]
Being made in 1997 shouldn't class it as vintage but due to it not really taking to the public's enthusiasm and the fact not many people are buying it any more, it enters this section.
Tiger came into the portable gaming market with Game.Com. It was competitively priced with Nintendo's Game Boy, with Tiger's main aim to take some share of the popularity from Game Boy.
The Game.Com was unlike any other portable gaming system. Game.Com is set up in the 'landscape' format, D-pad on the left, screen in the middle, buttons on the right, like a Game Gear. The system had a larger screen than the average as seen on the Game Boy, Game Gear, Lynx, Nomad or Turbo Express. Game.Com was also the first internet compatible portable gaming system.
VERDICT |
The lack of quality games (only 20) puts this console at a disadvantage, whereas the various versions of the GameBoy have a stronger collection. |
