NEC TurboGrafx-16 / PC Engine [1987] Rating: 3.5/5

The TurboGrafx-16 took over from the fall of the Sega Master System. It was one of the first 16-bit systems to be released. The TurboGrafx-16 was a version of the Japanese PC Engine. With slight changes though, NEC created a controversy over the processing power whether it was actually 16-bit.

This system was the first of its kind to use this size of game cartridge. The technology was very well developed.

VERDICT
Its main rival to some extent being Nintendo, with the NES and the GameBoy, then later Sega still had the 2 versions of the Master System. It was definitely a valid contender against them.
